What Works is Worth Sharing: Teachers Helping Teachers - Plugged, Unplugged...Whatever!

January 31, 2012
9:30 - 2:35

Some of the best professional development comes  from spending a day with colleagues learning from each other – “What Works is Worth Sharing”. Participants in these programs learn about best practices, lesson plans, innovative projects and pedagogical techniques that have had a significant impact on students and schools. Sessions may include the use of technology or not ... body, mind, spirit projects ... anything that your colleagues feel can and should be shared with fellow educators.  “Plugged, Unplugged…Whatever” – You’ll have an opportunity to learn about projects that don’t necessarily include the use of technology:  Team and community building, debate, theatre, dance, art, experiential and project based learning and ideas for the setting and meeting professional development goals within your school.

Our January 31st event will include 20-minute classroom sessions (presented twice during the day) spanning the PK-12 spectrum — teachers sharing specific and effective 21st century curricula and projects from their schools providing immediate take-aways for participants. Presentations also include a subsequent ten minute question and answer period which can also evolve into a continuing dialogue and an opportunity for colleagues to network and make plans for visiting other schools to see innovative curriculum in action.
Ultimately, these events are about "sharing excellence”. So join your colleagues as they share what they love!
