Assistant Director of Development / Annual Fund Director
St. Luke's School, New Canaan, CT

The Assistant Director of Development/Annual Fund Director is primarily responsible for planning, implementing, and managing the $1.5 million Annual Fund program, with all constituents. The director will identify, recruit, and manage annual fund volunteers (45-70 individuals), develop and execute the solicitation, marketing, and donor recognition programs related to the Annual Fund, and develop and maintain relationships with donors and potential donors. There is bottom-line responsibility for increasing the Annual Fund, both in dollar and percentage terms, and regularly tracking the success of the Annual Fund through financial and statistical analysis. In the assistant director of development role, the person will also be involved in other aspects of the development operation, including overall fundraising planning, hiring, and management of the office, special events, prospect research, publications, and capital campaign work.

Qualifications: BA or equivalent work experience, excellent interpersonal skills, excellent writing and proofreading skills, strong detail- and goal-orientation, ability to multi-task, intermediate to advanced computer skills, and can work both independently and in a team environment; experience in development or for-profit sales, volunteer management, constituent relations, special events, and knowledge of Raiser's Edge software preferred.
